The natural power of bees for health and balance

As part of our Bee Park, we offer the experience of apiinhalation — a natural method that uses the beneficial effects of air from the hive to support respiratory health, relax the body and mind, and help the body return to its natural balance.

Apiinhalation takes place in a specially designed apitherapy cabin, where users breathe air that comes directly from the hives. This air is naturally enriched with volatile compounds from honey, propolis, wax, and pollen, as well as aromatic components that bees bring from nature. The space is safe and carefully designed to allow complete relaxation, with the soothing buzz of bees and direct contact with the natural environment.

Many describe a stay in an apitherapy cabin as a deeply soothing experience that helps slow breathing, reduce stress levels, and promote a sense of inner peace.

Apitherapy is most often recommended for people who have:

  • asthma and respiratory problems
  • sensitive or irritated airways
  • after-effects of pneumonia or respiratory diseases
  • chronic respiratory problems
  • or who are long-term smokers

In addition to its respiratory benefits, apiinhalation contributes to the body's overall sense of well-being, helps reduce stress levels, supports sleep quality, and promotes a sense of balance and connection with nature.

This practice is part of the broader Plan Bee mission — to create a space where humans and nature re-establish their natural connection, and where bees contribute to the experience of well-being through their presence.

Apitherapy also has a special place in our personal story. Before reaching adulthood, Filip completed an apitherapy course and began developing his first activities right where the Plan Bee story began — in Istria. Dr. Gordana Hegić provided him with great support, for which we are extremely grateful.

Recognizing his sincere dedication and love for bees, she enabled him, accompanied by his parents, to attend the education and take the first steps on the path that has today grown into the Plan Bee project.

Today, apitherapy at the Bee Park represents a continuation of that same vision — to provide people with the opportunity to experience the unique power of the bee world and find peace, balance, and support for an overall sense of well-being in a natural and unobtrusive way.

Can I come for apiinhalation if I am allergic to pollen?

In most cases – yes. Our apiinhalation system is equipped with special protective meshes that prevent pollen particles from passing through the inhalation system. This further reduces the possibility of direct contact with pollen while staying in the house.

However, we recommend that people with severe allergies, asthma, or other respiratory problems consult a doctor before arriving.

Is there a possibility of a bee getting into the inhaler?

No. The apitherapy house and inhalation system are designed to ensure complete user safety. The system includes protective barriers that prevent bees from entering the inhalation area, while at the same time allowing controlled airflow from the hive.

When is it possible to use apiinhalation?

Apiinhalation is available during the active beekeeping season, most often from April to September. This is the period when bee colonies are most active and the air from the hive is naturally richest in aromatic and volatile compounds characteristic of bee products.

The exact start and end of the season may vary depending on weather conditions.

How long does apiinhalation last and what does the recommended cycle look like?

One treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes.

The recommended cycle usually consists of 10 consecutive visits, once a day. This is followed by a break of approximately 15 days, after which the cycle can be repeated, depending on the individual needs and personal feelings of the user.

It is important to emphasize that apiinhalation is not a medical treatment or a substitute for medical therapy, but is rather a natural experience that supports a general sense of well-being. Many users opt for multiple cycles because the experience contributes to a feeling of easier breathing, relaxation, and inner balance.
